Picked up a pricey book on organizational leadership at a local university bookstore the other day. The book retailed for $50 dollars. I asked the clerk if they had any used ones, she said, “No, it’s a brand new edition.” So I proceeded by opening up the book right in front of her and began flipping through the pages. Then I closed the book, looked at the store clerk and said, “It’s been used, now can I get a discount!”
